FOURTEEN GOLF

Fourteen Golf was established in 1981 by golf club designer Takamitsu Takebayashi, who felt compelled to create the ideal set of clubs because nobody else had or could. His aim was to create the best set of 14 clubs for all golfers.

Takebayashi had an illustrious career as an amateur golfer, capped by a Best Amateur Award and appearances in the 1975 Hong Kong Open and the 1977 Japan Open. His playing experience deepened his desire to use clubs to compensate for technical weaknesses. In its early days, Fourteen was a club designing company that handled club development for major manufacturers, and blazed a trail with a design methodology that converts how golf clubs feel in a golfer’s hands into quantitative data.

Fourteen has crafted a spectrum of irons and wedges, from super game improvement to blades, that anyone can play.

FOURTEEN GOLF WEDGES

22 years ago, Fourteen released a spin wedge called “MT-28.” It was the first wedge to feature a “U-groove” with sharp edges on the face grooves, creating overwhelming performance that allowed anyone, regardless of skill, to hit professional-level spin shots.  Tour players were amazed by the spin performance, which was so overwhelming that it was the most used wedge on the Japan PGA Tour.  The “MT-28” revolutionized wedge spin performance, and in 2010 the use of U-groove wedges was banned in tournaments.  The spin wedge developed by Fourteen had such an overwhelming advantage that it changed the equipment rules.

FOURTEEN GOLF PC-3 IRONS

PC 3

Introducing the NEW FOURTEEN GOLF PC-3 GAME IMPROVEMENT IRONS featuring CRESCENT RIDGE TECHNOLOGY that optimises accuracy and increases functionality. Designed for high-handicap players needing the maximum amount of forgiveness. The PC-3’s technology creates high launch angles and consistent distances allowing moderate swing speed golfers to score lower while still experiencing the Fourteen Feel.CRESCENT RIDGE SOLE TECHNOLOGY.

The CRESCENT RIDGE SOLE TECHNOLOGY scrapes the surface of the sole from the toe to the heel on the leading edge creating a “bounce effect”. This bounce effect prevents duffing and creates a surface that receives the ground and reduces variation in distance and optimizes accuracy. This technology has been researched and developed for over 20 years at Fourteen. It is constantly evolving because Fourteen recognizes the crucial role that the sole plays in ball contact, and how it affects club forgiveness.

The recommended club head speed for PC-3 Game Performance Irons is less than 90 mph driver speed. This serves as a guide, but keep in mind individual differences.

FOURTEEN GOLF TB-5 IRONS

FourteenTB 5GolfIrons 640x640 crop center ddc02d7f 94ad 4d83 9c4b 8e035e0cdacd

Designed for mid-handicap players who love a blade look but need significant forgiveness. This soft feel player’s iron allows amateurs to level the playing field.

THE NEW THEATER BLADE DESIGN

The new THEATER BLADE DESIGN removes the cavity step in the back face allowing the thickness to flow naturally in the curved shape of a theater. This creates an optimal CG (center of gravity) and a reduction in vibrations transmitted to the hands. The soft feel is further enhanced by the use of the soft material S20C mild steel. The results are an optimally balanced iron featuring both best in class feel and forgiveness.

LARGER FORGED HEAD

The LARGER FORGED HEAD is composed of mild steel. This creates a larger sweet spot, increasing distance and direction while still adding more forgiveness for off-center strikes. The TB-5 Forged appeals to a wide variety of golfers with swing speeds between 85-96 mph looking for an easy to use iron.

UNIVERSAL SOLE

The UNIVERSAL SOLE grind is extremely versatile which helps prevent digging and is forgiving in a variety of lies. Better turf interaction equals better impact, leading to more consistent shots and distance.

FOURTEEN GOLF TB-7 IRONS

FourteenTB 7GolfIrons 960x960 crop center 9e7b21c5 6a11 45b0 ba9b 0e3a33278047

Designed for amateurs who want a pure, classic soft blade feel with enough forgiveness from the Theatre Blade Design to make it playable for more than the Pros to control their shots around the course.

The Fourteen Golf TB-7 Irons are forged from soft S20C mild steel, providing a soft and responsive feel. This material, combined with the unique theater blade structure, enhances the overall feel and performance of the irons.

The theater blade structure, first introduced in the TB-5 Forged Irons, has also been incorporated into the TB-7 Irons. This design element removes the cavity step on the back face, allowing for a more natural flow of face thickness and an optimized center of gravity. The result is reduced vibrations transmitted to the hands and an even softer feel.
